We love this homemade turmeric face mask – it’s just what you need to brighten your skin and make you feel amazing.
Did you know that turmeric has many medicinal and beauty benefits? With its high level of antioxidants, it can slow down cell damage, reduce skin inflammation, and even out your skin tone. Turmeric has also been found to help with acne, psoriasis, and eczema – it’s perhaps best described as a miracle powder for your skin!
How Do You Make a Turmeric Face Mask?
What you’ll need:
½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
½ teaspoon Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon of Organic, Raw, Local Honey
½ teaspoon Coconut Milk or Yogurt
1 drop Lemon Essential Oil or Fresh Lemon Juice for additional skin brightening [Optional]
Step 1: Wash your face and hands first to remove impurities and any make-up.
Step 2: In a small bowl or jar, mix the turmeric powder with the honey, apple cider vinegar, milk or yogurt, and optional lemon oil.
You’ll need to get a consistency that will stick to your face. Be careful not to make it too thin as it may drip.
Step 3: Carefully apply the mask, avoiding your eyes.
Step 4: Leave the mask on your face for 15–20 minutes, letting it work its magic, before rinsing it off with warm water.
Step 5: If you have any leftover, cover it and pop them in the fridge, ready for your next application.
Step 6: For best results, apply twice a week.
